"Peacock"

The braids, on which multicoloured peacocks are drawn, are woven from silk and cotton. They come from India where they are used in the making of saris.

The thick velvets are exceptionally soft to the touch.

This collection is made from Napoleon III armchairs whose legs are turned and dyed black.

These armchairs have been found in Paris and entirely restored by hand in the pure French tradition of upholstery: the back and seat are quilted. Webbing, canvas and fur, vegetable and animal hair, steel springs, cotton wadding and upholsterer's seeds make up the work.
