PalmSpring refers to the palm on the back of the chair and to the season during which the first chair has been concepted.
The back of the chair is made from recycled Brazilian coffee bags found in Parisians’ coffee roasting plants.
The pearls winding around the armrest are seeds that grow in cluster on the açai palm tree. Their tint is obtained from plant colouring agents.
Created using a vintage bridge armchair picked up for a bargain in Paris, the chair – including the upholstery of the seat itself – was totally refurbished by hand, using French know-how. The work is composed of webbings, hard canvas, leaf fibre and animal hair, twines, cotton cloth and upholstery tack.

Résidence universitaire

Mission d'ameublement du rez-de-chaussée de la résidence étudiante. Chantier réalisé en collaboration avec bathilde millet architectes. Roubaix
L'accueil.
La banquette de 30m2 posée au centre de la pièce est conçue à partir de palettes recyclées. Un premier U regarde la baie vitrée tandis que l’autre fait face à la bande d’accueil. Elle est composée de modules surmontés de mousse et de gros coussins confectionnés à partir de kilim tunisien et de modules table basse qui viennent s’intégrer à l’ensemble.
La cafétéria.
L'espace est traité dans l’esprit des anciens réfectoires. Les tables sont des créations maison.
Deux grands plateaux en frêne massif de 13m courent le long de la baie vitrée, rappelant ainsi la parallèle des rails qui longent le bâtiment. Les 4 tables qui composent chacun des longs plateaux sont assemblées entre elles par un système de double queue d’aronde (dessin papillon) permettant ainsi au gestionnaire de changer à loisir la configuration des lieux. Les pieds chevalets ont conservé leur teinte naturelle. Les plateaux de 80mm d’épaisseur ont été blanchis pour créer un contraste avec les dossiers noirs des chaises d’écolier. Le café.
Il est composé de quatre tables basses de la même facture que celles de la cafétéria. Leur longueur et leur aspect massif leur confèrent aussi une fonction de banc. La légèreté des fauteuils corbeille en rotin autorise une grande mobilité dans l’espace.
